Originally from Rochester, New York, John moved to Portland two years ago and is pursuing his Funeral Service degree from Mt. Hood Community College. He is currently living in North Portland with his fiance and thier two cats.

Clarence has been in the funeral industry since 2009. Clarence proudly serves on the Stewart Board of Allen Temple CME Church. He is married with three children and three grandchildren that keep him very busy. In his spare time Clarence enjoys playing chess, traveling and spending time with his family.

Bret Chambers
Apprentice Funeral Service Practitioner/Embalmer
A native of Portland, Bret began his funeral service career working for a company that serves local funeral homes and the Medical Examiner's office. He is now a licensed Apprentice Funeral Service Practitioner and Embalmer. Bret currently lives in Portland with his family and dogs, Maggie and Millie. His hobbies include playing bass, reading and motorcycles. He is also actively involved in the Alzheimer’s Association of Oregon.

Tim is a long time member of the Park Services team and has a passion for green, not just keeping things green at Sunset Hills but also on the green at the golf links. Rain or shine golf is Tim's game.

Funeral Assistant
Samuel M.Ewell, has lived in the Pacific Northwest for most of his life. He became interested in funeral service six years ago after experiencing a personal loss. He has several hobbies which include playing football and cooking. Most of his free time is spent with his wife, two daughters and friends.

Tony Giesbers
Park Services
Tony was born and raised in Washington County and is a graduate of Forest Grove High School. Tony enjoys hobbies that include radio controlled airplanes, playing the guitar and riding his v-twin motorcycle. Fishing and wind surfing are additional interests of his. Enjoying the outdoors so much makes working in Park Services extremely enjoyable for Tony.

Kirstin Gummerson
Funeral Assistant
Originally from Florida I just moved back to Oregon to be with my parents and to be able to help them more. I will be continuing my schooling at Mt. Hood Community College. My hobbies are being outside hiking, biking or playing sports. I also love to travel, ten more states to go.

Sherri Hamann

Sherri has been in the funeral industry since 2003 and proudly brings much knowledge and experience with her to Finley-Sunset Hills. She is happily married to her husband Dan of 26 years. She has two wonderful children and three grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys camping in their RV and spending time with family and friends.

Stephen "Steve" Heaton
Cemetery Manager
Steve has been married for over 45 years just as long as he has been in Funeral Service, he and his wife have two daughters and four grandchildren. He appreciates the character of the professional Park Services team. He has served on the Oregon Funeral Directors Board and was President in 2004. He enjoys old cars and enjoys membership in three car clubs.

Greg enjoys the outdoors and if there is water nearby he enjoys it even more. Greg is a key member of the Park Services team and he has received the Employee of the Month Award for his dedication to customer service, supporting families and his fellow team members. Greg is married and has two sons and he enjoys family time.

Teryl Kangas
Receptionist
Teryl came to Oregon from Montana in 1982 and has been in funeral service since 2001. Teryl enjoys hobbies such as couponing, shopping and making cards. She enjoys Cook Books by America's Test Kitchen and James Patterson. Her favorite holiday is Thanksgiving and what Teryl calls "Friendsgiving", which is when she has a thanksgiving feast with friends. Other things she enjoys are entertaining and home brewing.

Evone relocated to the Pacific NW to join the Finley-Sunset Hills team. She comes from a small town in California in the foothills of Lake Tahoe. Evone attended C.S.U. Sacramento studying Psychology and Criminal justice, but has found her passion in funeral service. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband Joe and her 4 beautiful children camping, scuba diving and many other outdoor adventures.

Joe joins the Finley-Sunset Hills team after relocating with his wife and children to the Pacific Northwest from Northern California. Joe brings with him five years experience in funeral service and is now expanding his interests and experience being a part of the unprecedented Sunset Hills park services team. Joe enjoys spending his free time scuba diving, camping with his family, taking road trips, and riding his motorcycle.

Rachael has been at Finley-Sunset Hills since April of 2006. She graduated from the University of Oregon with degrees in Psychology & Sociology. During her free time she enjoys crossword puzzles, reading, hiking, movies, and spending time with family & friends.

I grew up here in Portland in the Northeast neighborhood of Alameda. I was in the first co-ed class at Central Catholic High School where I met my wonderful husband. I enjoy doing volunteer work, and currently volunteer at my children's schools, and work on the CYO football board. I love to cook, entertain and spend time with my family and friends.

As a Park Services Team member Urbano enjoys the outdoors at work and also with his family. Urbano enjoys time with his wife and two children on their off road adventures. As the newest team member he finds he is happiest when he is helping others. Urbano has been recently recognized as employee of the month for his superior service.

Toni White-Vorst
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Toni came to Oregon from Montana in 1996 to attend the Mt. Hood Community College Funeral Service program from which she graduated with honors in 1998. Toni has worked in the Portland Metro area since then. She finds true satisfaction in helping her families through a very difficult time in their lives. Toni’s free time is spent with her husband Ray and their pug dog Reggie at their North Portland home.
